Go Kyung Pyo has shared more of his own thoughts on his discharge to his Instagram account!
With a photo of himself in uniform, Go Kyung Pyo wrote, “I’ve been discharged. Thank you to all the fans and reporters who came out even in this frigid weather. I will repay all of the people who missed me and waited for me by returning to my activities. P.S. The day has come.” The last bit of his post referenced a running joke he kept up on his social media, wherein he asked often, “Will the day ever come?” referring to his discharge.
Welcome back, Go Kyung Pyo!
After successfully completing his mandatory military service, Go Kyung Pyo was discharged in a ceremony in Gangwon Province on January 15. In a post from his agency, CLN Company, they wrote, “Attention! Sargeant Go Kyung Pyo received orders for discharge on January 15, 2020.”
On the topic of his discharge, Go Kyung Pyo said, “There are a lot of things that I’m thankful for, but I’m especially thankful to those older brothers-in-arms who took care of me.” Afterwards, he continued, “The thing I want to do first [after my discharge] is travel to see my family.”
Go Kyung Pyo enlisted in May 2018 and served for 21 months. Known for some of his more popular roles such as in tvN’s “Reply 1988” and KBS2’s “Jungle Fish 2,” it’s only a matter of time before we see Go Kyung Pyo return to the small screen.
